I really do love this new wave of women going on solo trips and solo dinners and not depending on others to contribute to their happiness. I’ve BEEN spreading the message on the importance of building a relationship with yourself first rather than being dependent on the company of others. Even if you don’t have fulfilling social life, that shouldn’t stop you from LIVING your life. Don’t let your lack of friends get in the way of you going out to dinner, on a trip or even to a concert. Getting used to being in your own space is uncomfortable at first but it’s honestly worth it in the long run.

This is why I dislike looking back on the past as if everything has been constantly improving to get us to where we are now
Our cement isn’t as strong as the Romans, our steel isn’t as strong as Damascus steel, we cannot replicate the beauty of a Stradivari violin, we’ve already lost some of the technology that flew Apollo and Gemini to space
And when I live out a suitcase I have to sift through a pile of stuff like a neanderthal

when the effects of media wear off and suddenly you’re just a girl in a room all over again

Sorry I just hate parents in general. They’ve been flopping for generations and then it’s everyone else’s job to be more emotionally mature than them u have to literally think like a fuckin Buddha at age 4 to survive them
